We found our 2 precious children on a waiting child video. I never ever thought of adopting a children with HIV. As soon as I saw them I fell in love with them. Suddenly the label HIV had no meaning to me anymore. Prior to seeing my kids on the DVD, I was so ignorant about HIV/AIDS. After doing all my research, which included talking to Project Hopeful I started the adoption process.
While I was in ET, I was stuck there for just about 3 weeks. I didn’t have problems with ET but actually CDC was taking their time in doing the papers. Within hours of my husband sending an email to Project hopeful, the waiver paperwork was back in ET. I was stunned.
I am so thankful for PH for all they have done for my husband and I going through this adoption.
