We are Evan, Lori, Aiden, Annie, Elijah and Kieran- a home schooling, God loving, adoption supporting family. We have four beautiful children- three biological sons and one daughter through adoption. Lori is a stay at home mom and home school teacher, Evan is a soldier in the Army. We have been married for 10 years. Our children are all eager to meet their new sister.
Our daughter Annie has been asking for a sister since learning the English word for sister. God has made it very clear to us that it is His will for us to adopt again and it is our deepest desire to follow God’s will. Through His direction He has shown us to our little girl with spina bifida, Gracelyn. Gracelyn is 5 years old and living in an orphanage in Eastern Europe. She struggles with the effects of spina bifida, but she seems to be a happy little girl who loves animals. We don’t have experience with spina bifida, but we have experience with special needs, both medical and neurological from food allergies and asthma to autism and attachment disorders and we have already sought out support from other SB mamas and found a local SB clinic where Gracelyn will receive care once she is home.
We have faced adversity from the moment that we committed ourselves to go where God wants to take us. We have faced unforeseen financial hardships and unexpected expenses. We have faced countless delays and for a while we were afraid the delays would cost us our referral. Along with this we experienced the tragedy of our son we were waiting to adopt passing away. Despite all of this we are still trusting in God to carry us through the storm and lead us along His path to Gracelyn.
